As Christians across the globe mark the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, Chief Chuks Onyemulu, the Labour Party candidate for Delta State House of Assembly, Ndokwa West Constituency in the 2023 elections, has urged Nigerians to reflect deeply on the true meaning of Easter sacrificial love.
In his Easter message, Chief Onyemulu highlighted the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ as the highest expression of love, lamenting that Nigeria has yet to replicate such love in governance, leadership, and interpersonal relationships.
“Indeed, there is no greater love than this! It is however disappointing that we are unable to emulate the love of Christ in different areas of our existence and relationships. This is responsible for the incessant killings, leadership failure and underdevelopment in our country,” he stated.
He called on both leaders and citizens to make a conscious choice to change course by embracing love, accountability, and service to one another. Onyemulu emphasized the need to harness Nigeria’s abundant resources for the benefit of all and to work toward uplifting the standard of living for the masses.
“It is never too late to do the right thing and now is the right time!” he added.
Chief Onyemulu is widely recognized for his grassroots initiatives and community development efforts in the Ndokwa nation. He has personally financed scholarship programs, supported students, and created employment pathways for youths in his constituency.
A seasoned professional, Onyemulu is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), a Chartered Tax Practitioner, and holds an MBA in International Business Management. He also sponsors the annual Umuseti Community Scholarship Awards in Lagos, underlining his unwavering commitment to education and youth empowerment.
As the Easter season unfolds, Chief Onyemulu’s message serves as a call for national reflection, renewed unity, and a commitment to building a more compassionate and prosperous Nigeria.
