Ndokwa West Legislative Leader Ndubuisi Okoloafor Impeached, 2 Others Suspended Over Alleged Misconduct

The leadership of Ndokwa West Legislative Arm has taken a new structure following the impeachment of the leader of the arm, Rt. Hon. Ndubuisi Okoloafor and indefinite suspension of two other counsellors from the house.
A statement duly signed by six members of the house, said the leader of Ndokwa West Legislative Arm, Hon Ndubuisi Okoloafor and his Deputy, Hon Azubike Ejechi has been suspended over abuse of office and violation of house rules.
Other counsellors facing indefinite suspension that took effect from March 24, 2023, were Theophilus Opia and Felix Oyemike.
According to the statement, the embattled local government lawmakers were accused of, “abuse of office, disrespect of house rules, segregation of members, gross misconduct and betrayal of house rules.”
While installing Hon Clement Okuazu as the new leader and Hon Okoh Kate as the deputy leader of the Ndokwa West Legislative Arm, the house reinstated the suspended secretary of the Council, Hon Augustine Okom, describing his suspension as null and void.
When contacted over his alleged impeachment, Ndubuisi Okoloafor did not respond to phone calls put on him.
On his part, the newly reinstated Council Secretary, Augustine Okom, confirmed the development, saying “I thank God for the incident.”
The statement was signed by Nwabuike Ojodume of ward 11, Inneh Ozah Barth, (ward 7) and Oge Ugbeleme of ward 10.
Others were Hon Martins Chiyem (ward 16), Hon Okwuazu Clement of ward 20 and Kate Okoh (ward 3).
