Nigerian Customs Officer Regains Freedom After Paying N25 Million Ransom
A customs officer, Muawiyah Gambo, who was kidnapped in Zaria, Kaduna State, has been set free after paying N25 million ransom to the bandits.
The kidnappers also dispossessed him of properties worth of millions of naira before letting go.
Africa Investigative Magazine gathered that Gambo was kidnapped by bandits in his residence at Kofar Gayan Low-Cost Housing Estate in Zaria city, Zaria Local Government Area, Kaduna State.

It was further gathered that bandits attacked the area on March 30, 2022, at 09:10 pm and abducted some other residents.
It was, however, verified that most of the victims abducted along him had been earlier released while Gambo was not released.
Though, it was not clear if the other residents abducted along him paid a ransom before they were released.
