NYSC Anthem Composer, Wole Adetiran Dies At 74

The composer of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) anthem, Wole Adetiran has passed on at the age of 74.

His death was disclosed on Friday, May 06, 2022 by Ogun State NYSC publicity officer, Emmanuel Igba.

Emmanuel Igba stated that the State NYSC’s Local Government Inspectorate has forwarded official message to the State Coordinator to inform the Director General on Adetiran’s passing.

“He is dead. The LGI already sent an official message to the State Coordinator who will inform the DG. He died this evening,” Igba said.

In the same development, the Celestial Church of Christ confirmed Wole Adetiran’s death on various Social Media Handles.

Not until his death, the NYSC anthem composer was the National Music Director, of the Celestial Church of Christ.

He was also the Head of the Music Department at the Polytechnic Ibadan, between 2003 and 2007 and retired as a lecturer in 2008.
