There’s Hope, Junior Pope Is Still Alive – Actors Guild of Nigeria

Contrary to media reports that another famous actor, Junior Pope is dead, Actors Guild of Nigeria has announced that the veteran actor is not dead.

Varieties of narratives hit the global space at the later hours of April 10, 2024, with claims that the popular actor drowned in one of the Anambra State rivers while returning from a movie site.

In a clip obtained by Africa Investigative Magazine, Junior Pope was seen in a mini-boat praying for journey mercies.

The legendary actor, it was gathered, onboarded a local engine boat alongside three others whose identities remained unknown at the time of filing this report.

Majority of media reports had it that his body was recovered from a river where his boat capsized.

Confirming the development, the President of Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas, said Junior Pope is still alive and has been receiving treatment in an undisclosed Hospital.

Emeka Rollas, while reacting to incident added that, “What God can not do doesn’t exist, Junior Pope is alive and is receiving treatment in the hospital.”

A Movie Producer who preferred an anonymity after visiting the Actor, thank God for sparing Pope’s life, saying the famous actor was rejected by mortuary attendants.

He hinted that, though, the veteran actor is battling for survival but there’s hope.

‘Junior Pope is still alive. He is not dead. Discard reports making rounds on social media about what did not happen,” he said
