The Confederation of African Football (CAF), in collaboration with the AFCON Morocco 2025 Local Organising Committee, has announced that football fans travelling to Morocco for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations will now be eligible for free electronic visas.
The initiative applies to supporters from countries that typically require a visa to enter Morocco.
A statement obtained from the CAF’s official website, explained that the e-visas issued via the YALLA app will be provided at no cost to fans attending the tournament scheduled for 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026.
CAF noted that the decision comes in response to increasing global interest ahead of the continent’s premier football event, with a surge in ticket bookings already recorded.
To access stadiums and fan zones throughout the tournament, supporters will be required to obtain two key documents: a Fan ID and an e-visa. Both can be processed seamlessly within the YALLA app.
“A Fan ID is mandatory for entry to all stadiums and official Fan Areas. Supporters can apply for both the Fan ID and e-visa in one place inside the YALLA app, streamlining travel and stadium access,” the statement explained.
Fans are urged to download the YALLA app from Google Play or the App Store, or visit the official YALLA website to complete the required forms. Once the Fan ID and, where necessary, the e-visa are approved, supporters will be able to purchase match tickets via the CAF ticketing platform.
CAF added that the new travel measures aim to ensure a smooth, secure, and efficient experience for both international visitors and local fans.
AFCON 2025 will be contested across nine stadiums in six Moroccan cities, marking Morocco’s first time hosting the tournament since 1988. The championship will feature 24 teams, with high expectations surrounding the performance of emerging African football talents.
