Kaduna Water Corporation Begs EFCC To Tackle Corruption In Sector

The Kaduna State Water Corporation, KADSWAC, has solicited the support of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, in the prevention of acts of corruption within the water development sector.
The appeal was made today, February 14, 2023, by Sanusi A.S Maikudi, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the agency in an address at the 2023 induction lecture for the over 200 newly recruited staff of the Corporation in Kaduna.
He said the invitation extended to the EFCC to speak to the inductees was informed by the track record of the Commission in fighting corruption as well as the commitment of the Corporation to prevent corruption by exposing the officers to the perils of involvement in unwholesome practices at the commencement of their careers.
In her presentation entitled, “An overview of the EFCC ACT and Tackling Corruption in Public Service, CSE Nana Fatima Abubakar of the Public Affairs Department enlightened the participants on activities of the EFCC and ways of preventing and fighting corruption in our society.
She stated that fighting corruption should naturally be every law abiding citizen’s concern since the adverse effects affects all.
