Barely Three Weeks After Dr. Diaso’s Death, Former Bank Official, Wife, Rescued From Elevator

Just as Nigerians are yet to be relieved from the grief arising from the death of Dr. Vwaere Diaso, who was killed by elevator, a former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Kingsley Moghalu, and his wife, Maryanne, almost went through similar path on Monday.
The husband and wife were stuck in an undisclosed elevator for 30 minutes on August 14, 2023, before they were rescued.
The former bank official’s wife published the event on her social media page, thanking God for saving their lives.
She said, “my husband and I were stuck in an elevator for over 30 minutes! The elevator stopped in between floors. I thank God it ended well.”
Mrs Moghalu who did not disclose the venue of the incident added that, “This is why you don’t leave home without praying. Ps 91. Never know what is waiting around the corner. Glory to God!”
Recall that Dr. Vwaere Diaso who was undergoing horsemanship, died after an elevator she was in crashed at the General Hospital, Odan, Lagos Island.
It was reported that the deceased was in the elevator on her way to get her food from a dispatch rider when the elevator falls off the ten story building.
She was later rushed to the emergency ward of the hospital where she was confirmed dead.
