As part of effort to take over the mantle of leadership from the outgoing Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, the Delta State Governor-elect, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has constituted a 88-man transition committee to oversee to his inauguration as Governor scheduled for May 29, 2023.

According to the statement signed by Sheriff Oborevwori, the Committee would be headed by Prof. Emmanuel Nwanze, while Prof Hope Eghagha would serve as Secretary of the council.

The Committee, however, would be inaugurated on May 02, 2023, by 12: 00 pm at the Unity Hall, Government House, Asaba, the state capital.

Other members of the committee were Dr Kingsley Emu, Dr Barry Gbe, Chief Sunday Onoriode, Chief Tilije Fidelis, Mr Ifeanyi Egwunyenga, Mr Johnbull Edema, Hon Samuel Mariere, Dr Kingsley Ashibuogu and Engr Goodnews Agbi, Mr Abel Esievo, Mr Darlington Ijeh, Prince Kelly Penawou, Mrs Cordelia Anyangu, and Hon Joan Adanioma.
