NFF Releases Super Eagles 28 Man Squad For AFCON 2022

Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has on Saturday released a 28-man Super Eagles list ahead of the 2022 African Cup of Nations hosted by Cameron.
The football governing body made the list known publicly after the Super Eagles head coach, Augustine Eguazoen unveiled his final list for 2022 AFCON.
In a statement by the super eagles new coach, Osimhen, Dennis, and Ighalo made Nigeria 28-man AFCON list scheduled for January 09, 2022 to February 06, 2022 in Cameron.
Nigeria Football Federation, however, noted that invited local players shall arrive the Abuja camp on the December 29, 2021 while the Abroad based players are expected on January 03, 2022.
According to the list, the four Goalkeepers selected by Eguavoen were Francis Uzoho, John Noble, Daniel Akpeyi and Maduka Okoye.
The nine defenders that made the squad include Chidozie Awaziem, Kenneth Omero, Leon Balogun, William Ekong and Olaoluwa Aina.
Other defenders were Jamilu Collins, Abdullahj Shehu, Zaidu Sanusi and Ndah Olisa.
The five Midfielders include Frank Onyeka, Joseph Ayodele-Aribo, Wilfred Ndidi, Chidera Ejike and Kelechi Nwakali.
10 forwards were chosen by Austine Eguavoen. They were Kelechi Iheanacho, Emmanuel Dennis, Alex Iwobi, Taiwo Awoniyi and Ahmed Musa.
Others were Samuel Chukwueze, Victor Osimhen, Moses Simon, Sadiq Umar and Odion Ighalo Jude.
