Police Officer Kills Self After Shooting Female Lover Dead

A Nigerian police officer has on March 02, 2023, shot his female lover dead and also killed himself in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.
The reason behind the deceased officer’s action who was identified as Sergeant Michael Olalere remained unknown.
The incident which took place within the Chapel Of Redemption UMCA in Agba Dam Housing Estate in the town and caused tension in the area.

A security source who does not wang his name in print confirmed the incident, saying that the deceased police officer was serving at Kwara State Police Command.
He said, “This was said to be Sergeant Michael Olalere, serving at Kwara State Police Command. He killed his girlfriend and himself at Ilorin earlier this morning.”
At the time of filing this report, Kwara State Police Command is yet to make an official statement on the matter.
