The Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, has said the Force is committed to improving the welfare of the Police Officers.
Usman Alkali also said there was a plan to better officers’ lives through robust insurance policies for improved conditions of services.
The Police Boss stated this on May 10, 2022, during a 3-Day Workshop for Police Insurance Desk Officers organized to develop the capacity of officers across the nation.

Recall that IGP has recenttly approved the establishment and incorporation of the Nigeria Police Insurance Company (NPIC) to manage the Police insurance policies, and maximize the welfare interests of personnel exposed to hazards.
According to the statement made available to newsmen by Force Image Maker, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, “the workshop was aimed at aiding effective service delivery of the respective officers.
The statement added that the IGP presented cheques to 40 families of deceased police officers, who lost their lives while serving their father’s land.
The total amount of money presented to the 40 families was One Hundred and Eighty-Three Million, Two Hundred and Ninety-Five Thousand, Three Hundred and Twenty Seven Naira Thirty-Two Kobo (N183,295,327.32).
